Dispatch
An editorial newsletter template.
Dispatch is a home for a weekly email newsletter, in the Editorial style of a newspaper front page: a heavy grotesk masthead set edge to edge, ink rules between everything, a text serif for reading, small caps for datelines, and one bus-stop yellow used only as a highlighter, a button and one band. The sample newsletter, Night Bus, its editor, routes, letters and figures are invented sample content.

The 3D moment
A yellow highlighter sweeps under the key phrase of each section, word by word, as you reach it; the masthead rises out of its rule.
What you get
Straight from the template's README, the same file you will find in the repository.
- Home (
index.html): top line with issue number and date; the masthead and a strapline; the pitch with a sign-up form beside this week's issue set as a printed letter with a drop cap; "Inside every issue" in four ruled columns; the archive with topic filters (and an empty state); a night video band with a three-column excerpt; reader mail; who writes it; a yellow sign-up band; footer. - Issue (
issue.html): a full issue with a reading progress bar, dateline, display headline, standfirst, photo, a side column, a pull quote, a small timetable chart, three links and reader mail. - 404 (
404.html). - Sign-up forms with empty, invalid and done states (front end only: connect them to your email tool).
- Light (the day edition) and dark (the night edition): follows the system, with a toggle that remembers.
