The Inkwell and Ivy
Victorian bookshop template.
A site for an independent bookshop selling new, used and antiquarian books, in a Victorian printed-book style: a heavy Didone with a true italic, engraved small capitals, a Caslon text face, line ornaments in one ink, gilt-tooled spines, and laid paper. Light ("laid paper") and dark ("lamplit reading room", where the book stays paper on a dark desk) themes, phone to desktop. Sample shop: The Inkwell and Ivy (fictional).

The 3D moment
The hero is an open book on the desk: an engraved frontispiece beside a nineteenth-century title page, and the pages turn on the spine to the contents, a note from the shop and the month's evenings.
